The Healthy Kidz Maze

This program provides outreach efforts to elementary school children in order to promote healthy behaviors. The Maze is a traveling exhibit that can be duplicated at any school and/or at any environment. The objective of the Maze is for elementary school-aged children to learn about healthy choices and lifestyle behaviors in a fun and easy manner to duplicate just by making healthy choices in their everyday lives. The information will also include parent education and buy in. The Healthy Kidz Maze is a series of interactive stations that teach school age children the importance of healthy choices when it comes to physical activity, nutrition, oral health, and safety, avoidance of tobacco, drugs and alcohol, and promoting family participation in healthy behaviors for all!

Teen Health Programs

Young people have the right and ability to be injury-free, prevent HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and unwanted pregnancy, and complete their high school education. Utilizing the message of “Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself/ Infórmate Teen Health Program.

Infórmate ("Inform Yourself")

 Infórmate (“Inform Yourself”)  is a program that trains and supports teens as peer health educators for their own communities.

(CY) Teen Maze © we empower young people to get the information and services they need to make their own choices, to be healthy and safe. CY© is a registered activity of the WHCofAZ. It is a life~size board game where teenagers are the pawns and life choices are the dice. It is designed to help teens better understand potential outcomes to life decisions concerning sex, substance abuse, and educational/vocational issues, finances, and civic responsibility. This interactive “game” provides information on many topics that include: abstinence, peer pressures, contraceptives, tobacco, drugs & alcohol, rehabilitation, legal consequences, sexually transmitted diseases, teen pregnancy prevention, teen parenting, HIV/STD prevention, and post-graduation career & education choices, and injuring prevention from drinking and text messaging while driving. No judgment is made on any of the paths, just accurate information on healthy behaviors related in a factually based presentation.
